First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes. -1 Corinthians 11:26
Holy Communion is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. Eucharist means thanksgiving. We believe Christ’s body and blood are truly present in the consecrated host and wine. With profound thanksgiving, we consume the Body and Blood of Christ and remember the sacrifice He made for our sins. The Eucharist nourishes us spiritually, providing food for our faith journey. Children usually receive Holy Communion for the first time at age 7 or older. If you would like your child to be prepared to receive First Holy Communion please contact Kathy Brasseur in the parish office.
