Faith Formation

St. Scholastica Faith Formation

MISSION -  The Mission of Faith Formation at St. Scholastica is to assist the parents and families in nurturing their relationships with Jesus Christ by learning about the doctrine and dogma of the Catholic Faith, resulting in developing a fruitful faith life for every member of the family.

FAITH FORMATION – We offer two tracks for Faith Formation for students in Grades K – 8: Online Track and Traditional In-Person Track. You can select whichever fits your family best.  All Faith Formation families are encouraged to attend the parish breakfast put on by the Knights of Columbus each month. All children enrolled in Faith Formation will receive breakfast for free. Other family members will be charged the normal fee for the breakfast.

SACRAMENT PREPARATION - Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation falls under Faith Formation. Preparation for the Sacraments is a separate and distinct process from regular faith formation. Children will begin immediate preparation for Reconciliation and Eucharist in the second grade and for Confirmation in the eighth grade. If you are registered in the parish, you will receive information about registering for Sacrament Preparation as soon as it is available. Sacrament Preparation for both First Communion and Confirmation is on the first Sunday of each month until they receive the Sacrament. For more information contact
Kathy Brasseur.
