Perinatal Comfort Care of Tampa, providing comfort and support to families who receive a poor prenatal diagnosis, is now a ministry of Catholic Charities Diocese of St. Petersburg.
When a life-limiting prenatal diagnosis is made, parents are devastated and often receive a recommendation to terminate their pregnancy. Given little information or support in making their decision, many choose to abort their baby. In reality, there is no continuum of care for families who choose to continue their pregnancy. As a pro-life ministry, Perinatal ComfortCare is dedicated to walking a journey of a lifetime with these families. This ministry was created as a bridge to help support families who choose to carry despite the diagnosis and to honor and give dignity to their unborn baby.
