The St. Scholastica Safety Ministry was created to address emergency incidents that may occur during Mass or other church related functions.
 
The goal of the Safety Ministry is to provide a safe worship environment. This is accomplished through the training of the Safety Team, Greeters, and Ushers. They are trained in CPR, the use of the AED, and familiarity with the Safety Plan. Most members are certified in these areas. 
 
The Safety Plan was written as a guide as to how to respond to a number of emergency scenarios, including first aid/medical emergencies. It has been distributed and reviewed with all Safety Team members, Ushers, and Greeters of St. Scholastica Church.
 
Periodic presentations relevant to safety are held as they arise.
