Responsibilities: To welcome and seat parishioners and visitors, direct them at communion time, and help provide seating for the physically challenged. A designated usher (usually head usher) chooses a couple to bring up the gifts, unless a request is noted beforehand. They facilitate the offertory collection. Instruct the priest, deacon, or EMHC ministers where physically challenged are seated in order for them to receive communion.

Distribute church bulletins after Mass as parishioners exit the church.
